0-Day Capital announced last week the successful completion of the technical tests of the AdMoER application

0-Day Capital announced last week the successful completion of technical tests and the start of tests to refine the predictive risk assesment algorithm and the Artificial Intelligence component of AdMoER, the application that aims to monitor the contacts of people who have been infected with COVID-19.

The press conference was attended by Dragoş Stănescu and Mugur Stancu – the two entrepreneurs behind AdMoER, Van Johnson, the mayor of Savannah, USA, and Paula Kreissler – the Savannah Director of Healthy Cities and Program Director, CDC Racial and Ethnic Approach.

Among the media representatives, besides the journalists of the most important publications in Romania, participated journalists from CBS, CNBC, ABC, Fox News, USA Today, NPR (the largest radio station in the USA).

How the application works:

The application started from the idea of an advanced monitoring of patients, especially in a pandemic context, following the transition from generalized distancing to targeted distancing only on people at risk of infection, to lead to the resumption of normal life and the reopening of all businesses that involve a high concentration of individuals (tourism in general, cultural and sports events, large shopping centers, office buildings, airports).

It tries to determine the risk of infection and personal risk by interpreting objective and subjective symptoms and vital signs by a predictive risk assessment algorithm and, at any time between pandemic episodes, can monitor in real time the vital signs of patients and transmit them to doctors and hospitals to monitor the effectiveness of prescribed treatments and prevent life-threatening seizures for chronic patients.

As a result of its social responsibility policy and the promotion of equity and inclusion policies, AdMoER has announced the free provision of application services to all countries struggling with extreme poverty in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Its founders hope to be able to partner with international institutions, especially those in the UN structure, for this purpose. Social clinics and their patients in underserved communities in the United States will be able to benefit from these services free of charge.

The application works by connecting the phone and portable gadgets that read signs such as cough, voice patterns and breathing, blood oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, blood pressure. These signs enter this algorithm which, depending on the reading and how it integrates them, can give a risk of infection or other. If there is a low degree of risk, the user of the application receives a message in the application asking him to monitor and report certain objective or subjective signs, respectively – blood pressure, blood sugar, dizziness, headache. All this data is processed by the algorithm that calculates a certain risk of infection.

The launch was made in the US for reasons related to the size and relevance of the market, as well as an important feature, namely the existence of a strong spirit of community help in small towns, but also in urban areas in America. The founders of the application intend to develop in markets other than the US and do not rule out a development in Romania.
